Title says all folks, a serious question to ask as I have heard him playing for both sides.

Some people say Donald Trump is part of the Establishment and is actively trying to not only appeal to a small majority of republicans to give Hilary the election but also destroy the Republican party.

Others say Donald Trump is Anti-Establishment, is trying to make America great again, wants to end illegal immigration and heighten the process as well. They also say he will end cheap foreign labour for real American labour.

    What is Diplo's thoughts?

Trump just wants to check that \become president of the united states\ box on his bucket list.

The first example is what he is really doing though. Intentionally though? who knows. I am not much into conspiracy theories.

The second one cannot be true, that would imply a politician is actually saying the truth which is statistically implausible.

All of that doesn't exclude him from being an Establishment candidate. The difference is Establishment means he's acting in the favour and influence of the high tier party leaders, which are rich lobbyist. Since he is a rich "lobbyist" himself he isn't much of a traditional candidate of the Establishment, but rather the establishment.

No real presidential candidate is ever anti-establishment. You don't get that far along without playing the game.

If he were really anti-establishment he would have been jailed or killed by now.

Are we talking about modern presidential candidates or all presidential candidates? I'm asking because there have been Presidents who were anti-establishment or at least in the case that they really had nothing to do with the party they ran under. Zachary Taylor is a good example, he was so far off base of what the Whigs were all about that the Whigs ceased to exist as a party once he left office.

While Trump was without a doubt part of the "establishment" in the sense that he was/is a member of the monied ruling class of American society I suppose it's fair to say he wasn't a member of the Republican Party establishment during the primary. However, when you become the presidential nominee of your party you are now part of the party's establishment by default

I think either Trump is rick rolling the populace or he actually has the working man's agenda at heart.
