Hello Every one ! (I use my poor-frenchy-english :p)

I'm new at this community and i present to you my custom strategy map. Its a sort of WW with custom races called "worlds". I work from 2 years now (I've just started to work seriously from 6 month) and it remain just the balancing and some little debugs.

 

The map is quite different than a WW at these points :

No Heroes

You can collect wood on rocks ( they last more longer than trees)

Limit of 200 of supply (can be change IG)

Use more than 1 worker to build a structure isn't more expensive.

 

Now, the more important thing of the map : Worlds !

 

Heroic fantasy

The world of Dragons, wizards, elf who fight to protect their kingdom. Good for beginners. Best world for attrition.

+ Cheapest units of the map

+ Very versatile world

- Average defenses

- Weak at early-game

 

 

 

Atlant-futuristic

The world of Technology with an add of strange powers of abyss. A sort of Naga-Protoss World. Dangerous at mid-game.

+ Powerful units

+ Best defenses

- Expensive units

- Slow economy

 

 

 

Modern

The world of gun, oil, capitalism and Tanks. So cool. They focus units, not at economy and defenses.

+ Very good dps

+ Best AA of the map

- Weak infantry/Slow vehicles

- Average defenses.

 

 

 

Steampunk

The world of apocalyptic steam machines of death and poisoned humans. Dangerous at late-game.

Mythologic

Fanboys of Age of mythologies will like this world, because you don't need to pray your #%@& citizen at Temples. Like the Heroic fantasy world for the attrition, but use more wood.

+ Very versatile world

+ Useful temples

- Average DPS

- Poor AA and air units

 

 

 

Primitive

The world of Primitive bulky lizard-mans which ride mother#%$@ing dinosaurus slaves. Not for beginner. Can rush at early-game. less dangerous in late-game.

+ Very fast economy

+ Strong units

- Defenses sucks

- No armored units

 

 

 

Insectoid

The world of giant insectoid aliens. Like Zergs in starcraft, without organic buildings. Good for rush, but have a slow technology. Also dangerous at mid-late game.

+ Good Damage

- Expensive Buildings and Technologies

- Average Air units

 

 

 

Spirits

Like Night elf, without elf. Just Ents, golems and Ancestral spirits. Not for beginner. Use many non-automatic spells. Dangerous at late game.

- Slow units

SF

The Starwars-Startrek like universe. High Human technology, but expensive.

+ Very Powerful units

+ Good ecconomy

- Slow tech

This looks amazing, need more info :D please give more details!! is there a tech system?? are there ages?? a list of buildings and units would be nice. Also how does the income system work, i mean plz explain the supply system with more detail!!

The map looks promising tho

My limited English cannot explain exactly the details, but i'll try it.

Tech : Yes, 3 Tier but that's very simplified.

Ages : No, Tier are enough and the map is pretty heavy ( 6Mo).

Food=Supply. You get 2xFood each 15s. The food is limited at 200 but your gold cannot be higher than 10 000

For example you have 245 of food, you are stuck at 200 for training units but you have 245x2=490 gold each 15s.

Completely new terrain, with 12 playable slots

Creeps deleted (temporary)

Some Animation/Grammar Improvements

One icon for each worlds

All units and buildings build faster (for faster games)

Many prices balancing (Atlant less expensive at wood, but a bit more for gold)

► General changes :

- Workers harvesting is faster (0.8 instead of 1.1)

- All income buildings give more income (+2 to +4), the income bonus is now precised on these buildings.

- All Main buildings give less income.

- The tech tree is now more sophisticated

- Some little misspelling fixes

- Income is now 2x the max food - 3x the used food

- Unit transport size fixed

► Atlants :

- Promethean divide only in 2 instead of 2 and 4, divided Promethean have +50% of health

- Sentinels deal bounds shots against air, they are bigger, tougher but more expensive and more limited ( 64 instead of 96)

- Teleporters are not longer limited, the cost is reduced and the reloading is shorter ( 1mn instead of 3)

- All units globally cost a bit more of gold and a bit less of wood

- Add of a new ability for the support drone.

► Heroic fantasy

- Fire wizard tougher.

- Many Model changes (replaced by default war3 models for some)

- Flying knights can now transport units (1)

► Steampunk

- Tesla tower attack faster against air

New version 1.1 Pre1

► General changes :

- Income is displayed from messages (temporary change)

- All units (without workers and some exceptions) 50% more Expensive

- Terrain More complex (new expands on the center instead of a big lake)

- Income isn't longer in function of food, supply buildings give less food.

► Atlants :

- Supply and income building separate, catalysts give income, and power plants supply.

► Heroic fantasy

- No particular changes

► Steampunk

- Supply and income building separate, Mines give income, and Generators supply.

► Modern

- Supply and income building separate, Oil refinery give income, and Buildings supply.

► Primitive

- No particular changes

► Insectoid

- No particular changes

► Mythologic

- Hoplites have now only 1 slow short range attack against land an air units.

► Spirit

- No particulars changes

► SF

- Supply and income building separate, Mines give income, and Generators food.

 

This update just change the income and the terrain. Other Balance hotfixes can come after these changes.

Serait-il possible de mettre des IA?

 

De plus, la steam araignée du steampunk bugge. Enlève la compétence "rallier" par déclencheur, sinon, c'est trop galère à déplacer car il faut utiliser le bouton "avancer", le clic droit éta,t occupé par le point de ralliement ...

 

Aussi, sur le "equipped worker" du steampunk, quelques remarques.

Comparaison des stats du travailleur de base et du travailleur équipé :

travailleur de base : 100 points de vie

10 attaque

15 d'or en cout

travailleur combattant : 300 points de vie

10 attaque

100 d'or

et ne dure que 30 secondes !

Il est donc plus rentable de balancer des travailleurs de base au combat ... Au moins, augmente un peu leurs points de vie (une attaque faible pourrait se comprendre) et fait les devenir permanent .... ou encore diminue leur prix à 65 ...

New update :

► You can now choose your spawn

► You get a portal that if it's destroyed, you are eliminated (you are obs)

► You no longer spawn with your main building, just workers.

► You can see the dps of each units

► More balance as usual.

New release 1.2 pre release 1

Unit's damage is now random (like war3)

Armor/damage types added.

Some new abilities for units

Reworked center (paths instead of a big ugly mountain)

some balance/debug/mispellings

 

This version isn't tested for balance, so espect some op units.

I'm also workin' on some unique abilities for worlds, but it'll be long.

► General changes :

- All buildings (exept pure supply buildings) cost now 1 of food.

- Income buildings are more expensive in food (3-5 food)

- Balance/debug and mispellings fixes (as usual)

► Atlants :

- Power plants increase the mana regeneration of nearby units.

► Heroic fantasy

- New building : The church. Train and upgrade Paladins. Give additional armor and life regeneration to nearby units.

- Barracks no longer train Paladins, but now train Colossus

- Academies no longer train Colossus

► Steampunk

- Steam Spider now cost food.

► Modern

- New building : The missile launcher. Long-range slow tower. Can drop medikits to heal units (other abilities will come soon)

► Primitive

- No particular changes

► Insectoid

- New unit : The infector. Attack fast but with low damage. Create minor infectors from killed units. All infectors can suicide themselves to deal big damage to mechanical units (less against bio ones). Tank good.

- Spitters nests no longer train leviathans.

- Queens can mutate to leviathans.

- Added 3 tier of warriors : The warrior, the horror crawler and the Bloody scrouge. Each are more powerfull and fast but slow to upgrade

► Mythologic

- No particular changes.

► Spirit

- Holy stones regenerate nearby ally units.

- Body makers and soul enchanters now attack.

► SF

- No particular changes.

► Entirely remade Terrain, and bigger (192² > 256²), no longer symetrical

► Some neutral building drop stones when destroyed

► As usual balance, debug and misspelling fixes.

 

Others features will come next, but the main priority is to balance the terrain

Great news :

☼I'm workin' on new features like enhanced Tech-trees and Hybrid units between 2 worlds.

☼Damage upgrades and others will be added for almost all worlds.

☼I'll make CP more interesting to improve rushes and late-game goals.

☼Events will be added to dynamise the gameplay (more or less random, but must be enabled in round settings by the admin player)

 

Later updates will only fix some balances, the "great" change will me implemented when i'll post there the announce.
